Avalon Hollywood has long featured on countless lists ranking the top dance clubs in the world; since its christening in 2003, the hot-spot has been pulling an enviable roster of top artists from all corners of dance music.
Shortly following their 10th anniversary last October, Avalon has been undergoing a plethora of renovations – all while still throwing sold-out events every weekend. Now, with renovations completed, the club is celebrating in style. “The Grand Reveal,” a four-night series of events running from May 7-10, will kick off with a spoken word performance, presented by KCRW, followed the next day by a party by long-running weekly club-night TigerHeat. Congorock will lead the charge into the weekend on Friday night, before the “Grand Reveal” finale, a five-hour extended set from house veteran Erick Morillo.
The event will give guests the first look on the extensive makeover, including a “totally transformed entrance and lobby,” an extended balcony, new VIP booths, multi-level lounges and the addition of 150 LED panels throughout the club. Among the state-of-the-art handiwork, however, are reminders of its roots: the original features of the club, originally built in 1927, have been restored in all their nostalgic glory.
The renovation also extends well beyond the aesthetics: the owners will also exclusively premiere their new “Avalon by EAW” Club.one sound-system, which is currently the only one of its kind. Tickets for the “Grand Reveal” finale with Erick Morillo are now available for purchase on the official website.
